Meet Captain Tom Gaeta
I'm Tom Gaeta, owner of TAG Marine. I was born in New Bern, North Carolina, and grew up on the Trent and Neuse Rivers, where my passion for boating began. Except for a brief time in Miami as captain of a 90-foot motor yacht, I've spent my life on the waters of the Carolinas.
After graduating from the College of Charleston, I earned my U.S. Coast Guard 100-Ton Captain's License in 2008. My career has included more than eight years as a captain for TowBoatUS, serving as a pilot boat operator for Charleston Navigation, and completing dozens of private vessel deliveries along the East Coast from Miami to Albany, New York.
I founded TAG Marine to provide the honest, dependable, and personalized service I believe every boat owner deserves. Today, I offer captain services, on-the-water training, vessel management, mobile marine service, outboard maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting, and new equipment installations throughout Wilmington and Eastern North Carolina.
Whether I'm teaching a new boat owner, diagnosing a mechanical issue, or delivering a vessel safely to its destination, my goal is simple: to help you enjoy your time on the water with confidence, backed by professional service you can trust.
